Can anyone share tips on how to improve on a golf swing?

   There are many ways to improve a golf swing, but them most important is to get some lessons. You have to see what you are doing wrong before you can work on improvements. Another great way to improve for less money is to put yourself on video when playing. Compare your swing to the pros and you quickly see that you have many differences. There is software out there that helps, such as pro v1 golf, but the most important tip here is to get lessons.

   Best tip I can give you is to have at least one lesson with a teaching pro. They are worth every penny, and get you understanding the basics better than any tips / advice out of a book can to begin with.

   One tip for now though – learn to line up straight. If you were shooting a gun, or throwing a dart, you would line up straight to hit your target – because of the difficulties of hitting a tiny golf ball with a moving club its even more imperative that you get your alignment right. Its so easy to overlook that too, no matter how good you get at it – even the top pro’s line a club up on the floor to check their aim when practicing.

   If you can’t afford lessons, watch the golf channel. Worked for me.
